ITW Announces Conference Call Information For 2007 Fourth Quarter and Full Year

GLENVIEW, ILLINOIS - (January 4, 2008) - Illinois Tool Works Inc. (NYSE:ITW) today announced that it will hold its conference call for 2007 fourth quarter and full year earnings on Wednesday, January 30, 2008. The conference call will begin at 1 p.m. central time and will follow the company's release of fourth quarter and full year earnings at 7 a.m. central time on that same day.

The conference call can be accessed by dialing 312-470-0008. The pass code of ITW is necessary to join the call. Participants are asked to dial in 15 minutes prior to the start of the call.
