Maryann McNally Maryann McNally is Vice President, Research & Development of Illinois Tool Works Inc. (ITW), a Fortune 200 diversified manufacturer of highly engineered components and industrial systems and consumables. With $15.9 billion in revenues, ITW is a multinational manufacturer of a diversified range of value-adding and short lead-time industrial products and equipment. The Company consists of 840 business units in 60 countries and employs some 60,000 people.

Professional Background

Maryann joined ITW in 2010 as Sr. Director, Systems, responsible for the Electrical, Chemical Sciences, and Mechanical Groups within the ITW Technology Center. As Vice President, Research & Development, she is responsible for directing the worldwide operations of the Technology Center, working closely with ITW business leaders to drive strategic innovation and ensure their businesses stay on the cutting edge of technology. Prior to joining ITW, Maryann spent 10 years at Motorola. She held senior management positions directing global product development groups within both the Automotive and Mobile Phones businesses. Within the Automotive Telematics business, she was responsible for successfully improving product performance and quality for US and European automotive OEMs. She also managed the global team that delivered the entire portfolio of Linux Java based phones into the worldwide market, as well as part of the team that successfully launched the first Motorola Android phone to market. Prior to joining Motorola, she spent four years working at TRW on avionics platforms. She started out her career at Northrop.

Educational Background

Maryann has a BS in Electrical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago and a Masters in Business Administration from the Stuart School of Business at IIT.
