Allan C. Sutherland is Senior Vice President, Taxes & Investments of Illinois Tool Works Inc. (ITW), a Fortune 200 diversified manufacturer of highly engineered components and industrial systems and consumables.
In 1993, Mr. Sutherland joined ITW as Manager of Federal Tax and was shortly thereafter promoted to Director of Worldwide Tax Planning. He was promoted in 1996 to Vice President responsible for the Leasing & Investments segment. In 1997, he was named Senior Vice President, Taxes & Investments. Prior to joining ITW, Mr. Sutherland was a Senior Manager in the tax department with Ernst & Young.
Mr. Sutherland holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois and a Master's of Science in Taxation from DePaul University.
