Allan C. Sutherland is Senior Vice President, Taxes & Investments of Illinois Tool Works Inc. (ITW), a Fortune 200 diversified manufacturer of highly engineered components and industrial systems and consumables. With nearly 100 years of history, Illinois Tool Works Inc. (NYSE: ITW) is a Fortune 200 global diversified industrial manufacturer. The Company�s value-added consumables, equipment and service businesses serve customers in developed as well as emerging markets around the globe. In 1993, Mr. Sutherland joined ITW as Manager of Federal Tax and was shortly thereafter promoted to Director of Worldwide Tax Planning. He was promoted in 1996 to Vice President responsible for the Leasing & Investments segment. In 1997, he was named Senior Vice President, Taxes & Investments. Prior to joining ITW, Mr. Sutherland was a Senior Manager in the tax department with Ernst & Young.
Mr. Sutherland holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois and a Master�s of Science in Taxation from DePaul University.
Mr. Sutherland is a member of the Executives� Club of Chicago, Commerce Club of Chicago, Chicago Council on Global Affairs, Illinois CPA Society, American Institute of CPAs, Advisory Board, Master�s of Taxation Program for University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, Advisory Board, International Financial Executives, and Tax Council, MAPI.
